About Tyler

Tyler Zielinski is a London-based drinks professional who has dedicated his time to the bar and beverage industries through a balance of writing, consulting, content creation and bartending for nearly a decade.

Tyler started his career in the cocktail bar industry in 2014 in Cambridge, Mass while studying in college. After finishing university, he moved to New York City for role at a global advertising agency, working for powerhouse clients such as Procter & Gamble, and ABInBev. While he worked in advertising by day, by night he began writing about cocktails and spirits after his now-retired blog, Bon Vivantito, was recognized by leading culinary outlet Saveur Magazine as a finalist in their 2018 blog awards for “Best New Voice.”

Since then, his career in the bar and drinks industry has flourished. Today, he’s best known for his work in drinks journalism, writing about bars, cocktails and other subjects for an array of publications including Punch, Eater, Food & Wine, Liquor.com, CLASS, Evening Standard, Foodism and more, which led to him being on the IWSC’s 2022 shortlist for Emerging Talent in Spirits Communication; and his general drinks expertise has seen him featured in Bloomberg, Forbes, The Telegraph, Metro UK, Liquor.com, and Fast Company. Tyler has also served as a judge on an array of panels for bar awards, such as CLASS and Top 50 Cocktail Bars (UK), and spirits and cocktail competitions alike.

While he’s not actively bartending after switching gears as a result of the pandemic, he was previously a U.S regional finalist at Woodford Reserve’s Manhattan Experience bartending competition in 2019, as well as an East Coast finalist for Nikka Whisky’s Perfect Serve in the same year. Also in 2019, he helped open natural wine and cocktail bar, Lawrence Park, in Hudson, NY where he served as Creative Director, overseeing the cocktail program. In 2021, Tyler was also recognized as a top 4 national U.S finalist in Jack Daniel’s “Try Rye” cocktail competition.
