Lust for Life @ Pouring Ribbons (NYC)

Joaquín Simó created this drink for Pouring Ribbons in 2012. The stunner starts with a bang of mezcal, easing into the secondary ingredients with style. “Despite its rich flavors of spice and chocolate, Palo Cortado sherry is a very dry wine with plenty of acidity,” Simó says. “The use of orgeat to sweeten the drink further echoes the nutty notes of the sherry, while the bright acidity of fresh-pressed pineapple and lemon juices keeps the drink balanced and refreshing.”
